Do you have a daily routine?
I'm the first one out of bed, so I head downstairs and prepare lunches and start on my girlfriend's coffee. While I don't drink it, I hear I make a great cup of it (it's all those tea making skills).

Could you tell us what you do for a day job?
I'm the coordinator for a grant-funded graduate program, which pays the bills, but I'm also a full-time writer.

When's your first cup of tea?
At the office! I commute, bumpy buses and hot beverages don't mix, so I usually just brew it at work.

What's your preferred tea-making ritual?
That's a hard choice, I love making big batches to then turn to iced tea. Something about being able to see the steeping process in a larger scale. I also like making chai lattes and London fogs, it's ridiculous how much better steamed milk works as an add-on (vs cold).

Did you drink tea as a child?
Lots and lots of the powder iced tea mixes, I find it way too sweet now.

Do you ever partake in the drinkage of fruit tea?
Not my favourite, but yes. Blueberry is a real winner in the fruit tea department.

Confess. Can you say no to biscuits or cake? Are you a dunker?:
No to biscuits, always yes to cake! Last time I dunked, I dropped a ginger snap cookie into ginger tea. Ruined the whole thing, so I try to avoid further accidents.

Which is your favourite cuppa of the day?
The midday pick up, nothing says "yes, I can do this" like a nice cup of Earl Grey after lunch or between 2-3pm.

Is there one break that's non-negotiable?
Lunch, hands down.

Milk or tea in the cup first?
Tea always comes first, same order with cereal.

And finally, any projects or news you’d like to talk about?
I've had the opportunity to be working in some very amazing projects recently, it's been a great honor. Upcoming I'll be editing a Star Wars Fanzine, which people can keep an eye out for at: swarsfanzine.tumblr.com or the hashtags #swarsfanzine #thefansawaken. I'm also one of the writers in Chad Sell's The Cardboard Kingdom project, which should be surfacing in the later half of 2016.
