I asked blogger AJ all about her day in tea...
Do you have a daily routine?
My boyfriend (Gary) is a wonderful boy and he wakes me up every morning with a cup of tea before he gets in the shower. I’m not exactly the most helpful person when it comes to waking up and fail at it more than often but that tea cup of tea really makes a difference.
Other than that and showering I don’t really have a routine other than the whole wake up -> Work -> eat -> sleep cycle. I think if I work on that a bit more then I might be better in the mornings!
Could you tell us what you do?
I’m a social media manager for an experiential marketing agency. I tweet ALOT
When's your first cup of tea?
About 7:15 in the morning! (if I wake up…)
What's your preferred tea-making ritual?
I don’t really have one but I always think tea tastes better as loose leaf and you always need to leave it to brew properly. Also, pet hate is when people can’t make a pot of tea properly. If you’re using tea bags then it’s always one bag per person then one for the pot. Come on, people!
Did you drink tea as a child?
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t drink tea so I really wouldn’t be surprised if I drank it out of the bottle
Confess. Can you say no to biscuits or cake? Are you a dunker?
Who in their right mind would say no to biscuits OR cake. If I could have both I would be so happy. Also, always a dunker especially with a hobnob, the biscuit of KINGS.
Which is your favourite cuppa of the day?
I love my morning one but the best one is probably my 9:00 one at work. I can appreciate this one a bit more as I’m not in a rush to sort my life out. It also gives me those extra five minutes to chill out before the day starts and I feel like I’m dying by 11 am.
Is there one break that's non-negotiable?
ALL OF THEM! Seriously, I need tea breaks just to survive the day.
Milk or tea in the cup first?
Erm… tea! If you put milk in first then you are clearly a heathen. And DON’T get me started on that whole sugar in tea atrocity.
And finally, any projects or news you’d like to talk about?
Not at the moment as I have been too busy for words but have a couple of things in the pipeline.
Excuse me, the kettle’s boiled.
