I asked blogger Frances Bibby about her day in tea...

Do you have a daily routine?
Yes

Could you tell us what you do?
My routine is basically just get a cup of tea in the morning and then whenever I like. The absolute number one first thing I do every morning is make a cup of tea. After that anything is possible!

Throughout the day I generally just have a cuppa whenever I feel like it and stop drinking tea at around 3pm. Something I am strict about though is only drinking tea in china mugs – it tastes so much better!

When's your first cup of tea?
Minutes after I wake up, and is usually followed by another when I arrive at work.

What's your preferred tea-making ritual?
Adding boiling water and teabags into a teapot, letting it brew for about five to seven minutes and then pouring the sweet, sweet elixir into a china mug with a little milk in.

Did you drink tea as a child?
No! I started drinking tea at university out of boredom – making a brew was a good excuse for an essay break.

Confess. Can you say no to biscuits or cake? Are you a dunker?
I can say no to cake, but biscuits are like my drug. And yes, I am definitely a dunker!

Which is your favourite cuppa of the day?
The first one -  that first sip of the perfect brew is a brilliant way to kick start my day.

Is there one break that's non-negotiable?
The early afternoon cuppa – this is because I generally don’t drink tea after about 3pm so it’s my last cuppa of the day. Stopping my caffeine intake after this time helps me sleep better.

Milk or tea in the cup first?
If you’re making tea straight from the kettle then it’s tea in first. If you’re pouring from a well-brewed teapot it’s milk in first!

And finally, any projects or news you’d like to talk about?
The main news I have is that I’m currently having my blog redesigned. This is something I’ve been hesitating and thinking about for well over a year now, I’m really excited to reveal it in the next couple of months or so!
