I asked blogger Emma Pond to describe her day in tea...
Do you have a daily routine?
I get up, stare blankly for a bit then muster the courage to shower and then dry my hair. I either make my own brew when I eventually get downstairs, or if I'm lucky Mr W will have made me one whilst I was in the shower.
When's your first cup of tea?
At breakfast time. I am known to be grumpy if this does not occur.
What's your preferred tea-making ritual?
Boiling water straight from the kettle in to the mug, always fresh - no reboiling! One tea bag for a small mug, or two for our larger pintsize mugs. Leave to brew for a few minutes, then remove the tea bag, stir and add milk. NO SUGAR!!!
Did you drink tea as a child?
Not really. I remember making tea for my mum for my Hostess badge at Brownies. I tried it, but didn't like it. Probably because it has sugar in it, I really don't like sugar in tea.
Confess. Can you say no to biscuits or cake?
I can say no to cake... I'm not a huge fan despite being a baker. I prefer brownies or blondies. But I definitely can't resist a biccie, custard creams all the way.
Which is your favourite cuppa of the day?
The one that I make when I get in from work.
Is there one break that's non-negotiable?
A mid afternoon tea, around 2/3pm.
Milk or tea in the cup first?
Tea first, then milk. NO SUGAR!!!
And finally, any projects or news you’d like to talk about?
Over the last few years I've learnt how important caring for our own mental health is. I have experienced first hand and through friends/family just how difficult getting help for mental health disorders can be and how difficult treatment is.
I'm raising money for 'Manchester Mind' by running 3 10ks in Manchester - so please, dig into your pockets and sponsor me on my JustGiving page with whatever you can. The price of your coffee this morning, or some money for each kilometre. Thanks for all your support :)
I'm also looking for guest bloggers as well!! So if you would be interested, please get in touch :)
