Hullo lovely people! I think it's been quite a while since I've done a proper Life Lately update - then again I usually tell you the ins and outs of my life every time I get on to the keyboard to type. So I doubt there's very little you don't know at this point! :D
So, for those of you that are pretty new to this little piece of the internet I call home, I thought I'd introduce you to a couple of tags I did a while back that may help you in learning a little bit more about me.
Please feel free to do the tags yourself - just make sure you send me the link, as I love having a good nosey!
As many of you have probably seen, my new 'Take Three With a Cup of Tea' interview series has well and truly set it's roots into the blog now. So I think it's safe to say it's definitely a welcome permanent feature! I have literally loved every single interview I've received so far. I can't tell you how many tears I've spilled reading some of the hilarious answers - I'm looking at you in particular Erin!
I'm always on the lookout for more people to take part - So if you would like to be featured, you can download the details here. I don't really have a system of who gets featured when, more of a first come first served basis. Also, your pictures don't literally have to be of a cup of tea. Have fun staging really cool shots and enjoy getting funky in the name of tea! :D
You'll see my sidebar is looking a little more full than usual. That's because I have a few residents making the place a bit (lot) more prettier!! When you get chance, make sure you go and take a peek at their blogs, too. As they really are amazing people and their blogs are pretty awesome, too!
I am a little torn at whether or not to sell the advertising space or just have my favourite bloggers up there. It's so hard as from a business point of view, I know I should totally be monetising every blog post and selling everything I can. But my brain just doesn't work like that (I work in marketing - oh the irony) and I'd rather help people out by showcasing how awesome they are for free. I also want to be able to work from home for myself doing what I love. Help, guys. What should I do?? ARGH!
If you've been following me on Instagram, you'll have seen then I've been working uber hard on my artwork lately. I managed to get my Sailor Moon print finished on time, however my next one is taking a little longer. I'm blaming Netflix. I'm currently working on a Harley Quinn piece, which I'm envisioning to be her holding her trademark mallet - with a playing card of the Joker as the background. I'm not sure if that'll be too busy, we'll see!
I've also fallen back in love with Spider-Man again. Completely! I adore the new Spider-Gwen, however I've been playing the new Spider-Man game on the PS4 and you really just can't beat good ol' Peter Parker. Or Miles Morales - depending on which universe you prefer ;)
I might turn these into prints of some sort, too. Although I was thinking of doing one of him perched on a spire overlooking the city. Thoughts? :)
And lastly, y'all know by now that I have got my ass in gear and finally started yoga! Take a look at my snazzy mat! I completed day 5 of the 30 Days of Yoga with Adriene challenge today, and can hand on heart say that it's probably the best thing I've done for my body and mind in a loooong time. Maybe ever.
I feel a lot more positive in my outlook on life. I find myself correcting negative thoughts or things I say, and consciously making an effort to be more positive. I'm starting to look less like The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and more of a graceful swan. Don't laugh!! Okay maybe not yet - but I'm definitely feeling a lot less tight in my shoulders and I can almost touch the floor without bending my legs!
Oh yeah! I'm also going to the joeblogsnetwork.com meetup tomorrow - It will be my very first event! So if you're going, you have a mini fist bump coming your way! I'm also terrible with names and remembering people, so if I look at you with blank eyes and a cheesy grin, please don't run away!
What have you been up to lately? Let me know in the comments below :)
