Happy weekend, everyone! I hope you had a great week and are currently enjoying this welcomed Spring sunshine!

I've been beavering away all day working on some last minute things for Supers (launching tomorrow!!), today's daily sketch and thinking of today's blog post. I say beavering away all day, what I meant to say was I sat and stared at my laptop screen for an hour this morning, singing to Tori Kelly waiting for inspiration to come and smack me. Luckily, it did.

Whilst popping the kettle of for the 4th time and having a party for one, I got to thinking how much I love tea. I really love tea. I start the morning with it. If I'm feeling down or sad - pop that kettle on. Feeling nostalgic or sitting in the garden on the frosty morning? TEA! Nothing can bring me to a zen-like state and make everything feel a little better more than a good brew.

Can you guess where the inspiration to today's daily sketch came from!

Can you guess where the inspiration to today's daily sketch came from!

I used to be a subscriber of 'the simple things' and my favourite part of the whole magazine was an monthly column where they interviewed tea lovers about their day and tea-making rituals. So, I thought I may pinch the concept and do something of the sorts on here. Take three with a cup of tea, starting with me :)

Do you have a daily routine?
As well as being a blogger, I have a day job working as a marketing exec in bustling London Town. So my life can be a little hectic at times. In the evenings I'm either working on the blog, sketching, grabbing some minutes gaming or catching up on TV.

When's your first cup of tea?
I'm always in a rush in the morning, so it's usually as soon as I get to work around 8am. It's my favourite time of day as I can get settled into my schedule whilst having the office to myself for a half hour. Then I'll have another cup when I make one for the boss.

What's your preferred tea-making ritual?
I put the bag in first, then the hot water and leave for a good couple of minutes. I then give it a good stir and squeeze the bag against the side of the cup with the spoon. A dash of milk and then I'm good to go!

Did you drink tea as a child?
I did actually. I lived on a farm in my grandparents house - I was on tea making duty literally every half hour. I think my grandma would of had it intravenously if she could! It's those times I think back to when I cup the mug in my hands against my chest, imagining I'm still sat on the horse's gate; a frosty morning hue as the view.

Confess. Can you say no to biscuits or cake?
I'm actually not too fussed about indulging in cake or biscuits with a brew if I'm honest. What? Homemade oatmeal and raisin cookies? Now that's a different story!

Which is your favourite cuppa of the day?
I love my 4pm cup - keeps me going for the rest of the afternoon. I usually have a fruit tea as I try to not have caffeine after 3pm.

Is there one break that's non-negotiable?
I literally can't function until I have my 8am cup. It's zombie mode all the way to work until I get that all-important caffeine boost.

And finally, milk or tea in the cup first?
It always has to be the milk last - how else will the tea leaves brew properly?

Are you partial to a good cup of tea? If so and would like to interviewed for 'Take three' - either leave me a comment below or pop me a message.
