I asked blogger Dianne Richardson to describe her day in tea...

Do you have a daily routine?
I get up early, walk my dog then get physical on the living room floor with a Davina McCall Fitness DVD before getting ready for work. There’s no routine in my work days, I might be meeting clients, doing presentations or having an office day.

When's your first cup of tea?
If it’s an office day I make a cuppa as soon as I’ve finalised my to-do list. If I’m meeting a client they usually make me a cuppa. We’re like that in Cumbria, everyone likes their tea.

What's your preferred tea-making ritual?
I prefer to make it in a pot but we rarely have time nowadays do we? If it’s in a cup it’s teabag, hot water, milk then teabag out.

Did you drink tea as a child?
Yes, it was very weak, milky with 2 sugars, I couldn’t drink it now! I remember feeling very grown up having a cup of tea with my parents.

Confess. Can you say no to biscuits or cake?
A cup of tea is too wet without a biscuit surely! I confess I like to dunk a biscuit but not with every cup :)

Which is your favourite cuppa of the day?
The one when I get back from my evening walk with the dog, particularly in winter when it’s cold & that hot cuppa hits the spot.

Is there one break that's non-negotiable?
All of them! There’s no way I could manage on just one cup of tea.

And finally, milk or tea in the cup first?
Well if I’m making a pot it’s milk first, if I’m making it in a cup tea first. You have to be adaptable these days you know.
