Well howdy do dearest readers! I hope you had an amazing Christmas and are, unlike me currently stuck at my work desk, enjoying a week off - slowly eating yourself into a food coma and watching crappy telly.
I arrived home yesterday after spending the festive period at my parents - which was lovely. Ben is still currently in Australia and should hopefully be back on Saturday. And I will be spending my New Years on the couch, in front of the telly losing myself in the PS4 for the evening.
I've seen a whole load of blog posts in the 'blogosphere' rounding up how their year was in stats. Now there's nothing really wrong with that but come on guys -- your life surely shouldn't be determined by how many followers you have or total views you've had for the year? Maybe I'm being a little sensitive and if so, apologies - but it does make me feel sad when people review their year by things like that.
I for one am grateful for so many things this year. Main thing being is that I've finally got to the point in my life where I've found a path in life that I'm happy with, and more importantly excited about. I feel like I've come on leaps and bounds with my artwork and can't wait to go full force with filling my Etsy shop up. It's been a challenge trying to juggle a full on day job and getting illustrations done - but I think I've not done too bad of a job. And hey, it should only get easier, right? Right?!
Another thing I want to try and make time for this year is attending more blogger events. Okay, I say 'make time for' when I guess I actually mean 'have the confidence to'. I've been invited to so many amazing events this year but I just couldn't bring myself to say yes. Anxiety eh. Something I need to get a hold of this year - who knows how many friends I haven't made by not attending.
2015 has been great, but geez -- it's gone by so bloody quick! I honestly think it's the been the quickest year of my life so far that you can't help but feel you've not done or achieved enough. The thing to remember is to make sure you're happy - coz that's all the matters :)
What would you say has been you're biggest achievement this year - and what would you like to achieve in 2016? Let me know in the comments!
I'll be back tomorrow with the last of this year's 'As Told By Instagram' - but until then, have an awesome Wednesday!
