Hi gang. It seems like only last week that I was feasting down on turkey dinners, gleefully ripping open presents (and by ripping I mean carefully opening at the seams to save the wrapping paper!) and putting on those few extra 'happy pounds'.
There's something about this time of year that brings with it a scent of magic in the air. Everyone just seems so much more happier. There's even a slight chance you may get a slight smile back from someone on the tube!
I've been on a bit of a digital detox these past couple of weeks to get everything ticked off of my to-do list so that I can enjoy the festive period stress free. I've in the middle of one last commission piece and then that's it until the new year. I've had my present early this year in the form of an iPad Pro! Unfortunately I don't have the iPencil yet due to the shortage, but will fingers crossed it'll get delivered soon. As it's a significant upgrade to my current kit - my uber excited to start designing on it.
Ben is away this week visiting his family in Devon - which means I had to will myself off the couch and get myself out before the cabin fever set in. It was the perfect excuse go on a frosty walk through the park, wander around my local market and pick up some delicious food for lunch!
Besides the overall increase of joy throughout the city, one of my favourite things at this time of year is wandering around the Christmas markets. Everywhere you turn is a feast for the eyes - and nose! The scent of sweet mulled cider, ginger bread cookies and melt in the mouth meats fill the air as fairy lights and delicate ornaments dance atop each stall.
What is one of your favourite things about this time of year? Let me know in the comments below :)
