Where did you you grow up and when did you decide to become an artist? Have you always been creative? I’m from Norway, more specifically Tønsberg. If you’ve seen Lord of the Rings, Tønsberg essentially served as the Helms deep of the king back in the day, it’s where he would retreat to to fight sieges from enemy forces. So it’s a fairly historically important city in Norwegian history.
I was born and have lived almost all my life in a small Siberian town in Russia. Still hate snow, that’s why we moved to San Francisco ha ha:) And as far as I remember myself I always have been drawing, painting or DIYing something. My grandma even preserved some of my first drawings. They are hilarious:)
I mostly grew up in the Scottish Borders surrounded by awesome countryside, burns (streams), rivers, fields and wildlife. I don't think it was a conscious decision. It just happened. I was always "the one who drew" and I kinda liked that. Despite being told by careers advisers that art wasn't a real job I appear to have made one from my skills. I don't really do "normal".
I was born in Arizona and, at the age of three, my family and I relocated to Northern Territory, Australia. I spent the next eight years living in the outback and rolling around in the dirt with my friends. (A lot of video games were played during this time also.) I think I’ve always been creative in one way or another...
I grew up in a small village along the west coast of Scotland, my family moved a couple years back, to a town that resides next to the sea called Helensburgh and that's where I am currently. It's great living here because nature is on my doorstep so if I ever need to disconnect I can slip into a forest. This question brings a smile to my face because art is almost hereditary on my mother's side of the family I feel like I was born into art
I grew up in Leicestershire after moving here from Nottingham when I was 4 years old. I have always been creative and have loved to draw and doodle since I could hold a pencil. I think I have taken after my Mum who is a graphic designer and a keen creative herself!
I grew up in Coventry and I think I always wanted to be an artist. I remember drawing a huge red chicken on my parents’ wall with wax crayon, when I was three, and being really pleased with it. I was in Secondary school when I figured out working as a graphic designer and illustrator would satisfy my creative urges and earn me money.
I was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne and later moved to Oldham when I was about eighteen months old. I’ve always loved to draw and at school I was in my element when illustrating text for a class projects and even when drawing diagrams for science. My science drawings were very detailed and usually filled the whole page. I used to win school art competitions too, whilst at junior level.
I grew up in Biella, a little town in the north of Italy. I have been always been creative and I remember watching the TV show Art Attack and trying to reproduce all the stuff they made. My school books and notebooks were full of doodles and sketches.
I grew up in a Cornish town that’s right on the Cornwall/Devon boundary, I’ve lived and studied here all my life and I absolutely adore it as it’s super close to a city but it’s surrounded by beautiful countryside! I guess I have always wanted to be an artist, I was always the “arty kid” in school and was often heard saying...
I grew up in Hastings, and I came back here when I graduated. It's an amazing place to live and I'm proud to live here. I'm lucky enough to know some pretty impressive people and have worked previously with
Born and still living in Liverpool, and I feel really lucky as I think it's a really creative city. I've always been attracted to anything creative even as a kid, but I definitely didn't always think I'd end up doing this. I wanted to be a...
